Melania Trump just went digital.

On Wednesday, she shared a short video of an AI version of herself on X, captioned, “Into the Future.” The clip shows a pixelated Melania emerging in what looks like Trump Tower. She wears a long black coat dress and matching heels, looks straight at the camera, and slowly blinks as her hair gently blows.

The original video was posted by an account promoting her official cryptocurrency meme coin, $MELANIA. The first lady re-posted it herself, showing she is now experimenting with AI, following in the footsteps of her husband, who has faced criticism for his own AI clips.

Donald Trump recently shared deepfake videos of Democratic leaders. One showed House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries in a sombrero with a fake mustache, while Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s voice declared, “nobody likes Democrats anymore because of all of our woke trans bulls—.”

Jeffries called the clip “disgusting” and told Trump, “bigotry will get you nowhere.” Trump later shared another AI-modified video showing Jeffries again in a sombrero and mustache with an AI-generated mariachi band made of Trumps in the background.

Melania has previously spoken about the dangers of artificial intelligence.

During a White House AI education task force meeting in September, she said, “Our future is no longer science fiction. During this primitive stage, it is our duty to treat AI as we would our own children – empowering, but with watchful guidance.”

She also added, “The robots are here, it is our responsibility to prepare America’s children for a future in which AI will play a significant role.”

For years, people have wondered if Melania Trump sometimes used a body double. They noticed small differences in her movements and facial features when she appeared in public.

The rumors returned during the 2024 campaign and the recent UK state visit. Observers also noted that she held Donald Trump’s hand unusually tightly, adding to the speculation.
