Last week, Melania Trump showed off the latest round of White House renovations. According to the Mirror, the First Lady spoke at the White House Historical Association’s 2026 Presidential Sites Summit in the Rose Garden.

“Generation after generation, America’s ideals and stories are woven directly into the fabric of the White House. Great design transcends a static feel. It shapes our lived experiences.” Melania said, per Instagram.

“This philosophy guided my work on the White House tennis pavilion. Every detail was thoughtfully considered to ensure the new structure harmonized with the historic neoclassical character of the White House grounds,” Melania said.  “As stewards of these places, we are tasked with decisions that honor future generations. The pavilion exemplifies the power of thoughtful design and serves as a bridge that connects people and generations through shared history.”

The White House press pool also said that Melania had called the White House “an architectural autobiography of America, embodying the enduring values of ambition, democracy, and civic life through its design, craftsmanship, and the objects within.”

Some social media users mocked the First Lady’s comments.
