Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old MAGA activist, was gunned down while speaking at Utah Valley University. He was on stage, talking with a student about mass shootings, when a single bullet ended his life in front of thousands.
New reports now reveal a disturbing detail. According to a law bulletin sent to ATF agents, the ammunition used to kill Kirk was engraved with transgender and anti-fascist messages.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the shooter’s .30 caliber hunting rifle contained both spent and unspent rounds with these engravings. This has raised even more questions about the motive behind the attack.
Authorities confirmed that Kirk was shot with a high-powered bolt action rifle. The firearm was later found abandoned in a wooded area not far from the university. FBI Special Agent Robert Bohls said the weapon is now being analyzed at a federal lab. Agents also recovered palm and footwear prints at the scene, and they continue to gather evidence as the manhunt intensifies.

Investigators believe the shooter was a young man of college age. He had arrived on campus shortly before noon, dressed all in black and wearing aviator-style sunglasses. Witnesses say he managed to blend in with students before climbing onto the roof of the Losee Center. From there, he fired the fatal shot before fleeing.
More than 130 tips have already come in to the FBI, and officials say they also have “good video footage” of the suspect. Still, his identity has not been made public. Authorities say the gunman jumped from the roof after the attack and then disappeared into nearby woods.
At the moment of the shooting, Kirk was answering a question from a student. The student asked him about transgender Americans being involved in shootings. Kirk’s reply was, “Too many.” The student then asked about the total number of mass shootings in the U.S. over the last decade. Kirk began to respond when the shot rang out. He immediately slumped over as the audience panicked.
About 3,000 people were at the event, according to Utah’s Department of Public Safety. Six university police officers were already working the event, along with Kirk’s personal security team. Even with the security presence, the shooter managed to carry out the assassination from a distance.
The immediate aftermath was chaotic. An elderly man, 71-year-old George Zinn, was briefly detained after claiming responsibility for the shooting. However, police later confirmed he had nothing to do with the crime. Another man was also taken into custody but later cleared. For now, the real shooter is still on the run.
President Donald Trump called Kirk “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk” in a Truth Social post, saying no one had connected with America’s youth the way Kirk had.
