Mike Pence Publicly Dropped The Name Of Person Who “Told Him” To “Buck” Donald Trump’s Vote Certification Plot

Well, that's interesting.

Recently, former Vice President Mike Pence attended a Young America’s Foundation event at the University of Iowa, where found himself under the microscope by one attendee, who wanted to know why the ex-VP didn’t go along with Donald Trump’s plan to essentially steal the election from President Joe Biden.

The individual who said his name was “Jared,” let the former Vice President know that his question was going to be a “little long.”

“On January 5th, you were convinced that the election was correctly stolen,” Jared began. “You, Trump, Peter Navarro, John Eastman, and others had a plan on the morning of the 6th to send the certification back to the states.”

“On the night of the 5th or the morning of the 6th, someone in the White House convinced you that it would destroy your hopes of becoming president if you sent it back to the states. My question is what is the name of the person who told you to buck President Trump’s plan and certify the votes?” the individual pressed.

“James Madison,” Pence answered, point-blank, making a clear reference to one of the United States Founding Fathers, the “Father of the Constitution.”

In addition to the subtle blow at Donald Trump, Pence’s visit to the state of Iowa sparked a lot of questions about his upcoming political plans, as the state is considered pretty crucial in presidential elections.

“It is Pence’s second visit to Iowa since he and Trump carried the state but lost the Electoral College in the 2020 election,” local publication, theDes Moines Register reported following Pence’s event. “The specter of Trump hangs over the entire field of potential candidates, some of whom have said they would not run for president if Trump seeks another term. But it is especially pronounced for Pence, who has tried to claim credit for the policy successes of the Trump administration while managing the fallout of the Jan. 6 attacks.”

We recently reported here at Political Tribune that Mike Pence apparently is, in fact, eyeing a run at the White House in 2024, and he doesn’t seem to care if that means going up against his old boss.
