Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), this fall, revealed a shocking break with President Donald Trump. Formerly one of the president’s biggest loyalist, Greene broke with Trump over the Epstein files, among other issues, and announced that she will resign from Congress in January.
Now, in a new interview, the Congresswoman said she’s not the only Republican who has become Trump-skeptical.
Speaking to 60 Minutes for an interview that’s set to air Sunday night, the soon-to-be-ex-Congresswoman said that her colleagues would sometimes mock the president behind his back.

“I watched many of my colleagues go from making fun of him, making fun of how he talks — making fun of me, constantly, for supporting him — to, when he won the primary in 2024, they all started — excuse my language, Lesley, kissing his a– and decided to put on a MAGA hat for the first time,” Greene said, per a report in The Hill about the 60 Minutes interview, with Lesley Stahl.
On X this week, Greene revealed that she has received hundreds of death threats, since announcing her plans to resign.

“My office has reported 773 death threats to Capitol Police, but those were just the threats that came directly into my office via call or email, and don’t include the countless threats online to myself and my family members. We just didn’t have enough people to constantly monitor that,” Greene said in the post. “These 773 death threats do not include all of the dozens of swatting calls to myself and my family members and pizza doxxings.”
Greene added that while she had received threats from “the left” before, they are now coming from the other direction.
