MTG Goes Nuclear On Trump And ‘Weak Republicans’ Over Attack On GOP Rep’s Wife

After Donald Trump attacked Rep. Thomas Massie’s wife on Truth Social, Marjorie Taylor Greene, now a vocal critic of his leadership, spoke out against him and the silent Republicans.

The rupture is notable given Greene’s past loyalty.

For years, she was among Trump’s fiercest allies, defending him through scandals, investigations, and political chaos. That allegiance has now clearly unraveled.

The fight started when Trump accused Massie’s new wife, Carolyn Massie, of turning her husband into a “Liberal.” He labeled her a “Radical Left flamethrower,” even though she voted for him three times.

Massie pushed back.

“So now he’s attacking my wife who voted for him three times,” Massie wrote. He pointed to her role in urging him to ask Attorney General Pam Bondi about the Epstein files. “Bondi said there were no more files. As they say, the rest is history.”

That post triggered Greene.

She shared Massie’s reply and added a long message aimed at Trump. She called out the president for going after the people who have always stood by him. “President Trump treats those who support him the most like crap,” Greene wrote.

She then dismantled Trump’s attack on Massie’s wife.

“Thomas’s wife voted for him 3 times. She’s not a ‘radical left flamethrower,’” Greene wrote.

Greene also defended Massie’s record in Congress. She pointed out that he votes with Trump most of the time and ranks among the most conservative members in the House. Where Massie refuses to bend, Greene said, is on shielding powerful people tied to Jeffrey Epstein or sending U.S. tax dollars overseas.

That issue has driven a deep divide.

Greene has spent months pushing for the full release of the Epstein files. Along with Massie and Rep. Ro Khanna, she backed a bill forcing the Justice Department to release the documents. Trump signed the law, but the DOJ missed the deadline, leading to chaotic and troubling partial releases.

Greene argued Trump is paying more attention to wealthy donors and foreign interests than to voters.

“The President should be more concerned with voters, who put him in office,” she wrote.

She also warned that Trump’s endorsements are failing, pointing to Republican losses in deep-red districts as a sign of serious trouble.
