Most of the commemorations of Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office looked at how the president has transgressed norms in the early going of his second term. He has sought revenge and retaliation against his enemies, pardoned nearly everyone convicted of crimes related to January 6, has taken a reactionary line on transgender issues, has placed anti-vaccine conspiracist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. in charge of HHS, and has threatened to impeach judges who rule against him. With this, Trump has nearly unquestioned support from the Republican majority in Congress.
Shortly after the 100-day mark, one of Trump’s most loyal allies in Congress has a message: That’s not good enough, and you haven’t gone far enough.
“I represent the base, and when I’m frustrated and upset over the direction of things, you better be clear, the base is not happy,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) wrote in a lengthy X post on Friday.
Greene’s grievances were many. As someone who “campaigned for no more foreign wars,” Greene is upset about Trump’s saber-rattling toward Iran.

I campaigned for no more foreign wars.
And now we are supposedly on the verge of going to war with Iran.

“I don’t think we should be bombing foreign countries on behalf of other foreign countries, especially when they have their own nuclear weapons,” Greene said, likely implying that Trump would be bombing Iran “on behalf of” Israel. Greene also criticized the administration for its minerals deal with Ukraine, which she sees as an effort by the U.S. to “occupy Iran.”
Greene also attacks the administration for what she calls “accountability for the communist and tyrannical acts made by the government during Covid” and for not having pulled the COVID vaccines from the market.
According to the Congresswoman, the Trump Administration has also gone far enough in striking back against those involved with past Trump prosecutions.
“When are those vicious attorneys and judges ever going to be held accountable for the lives they ruined?” she asks. And she criticizes Trump for not doing enough to stop “the evil transgender assault against our children.”
Greene also has things to say about “the extreme nature of our rogue judicial system that is so defiant that there are judges that defy our nation’s laws” and “illegals voting and protections from stealing our votes.”
The message, it appears, is that for all the extreme actions the Trump Administration has taken, there’s somebody out there who believes all of that extremism is woefully inadequate.
