Nancy Pelosi Savagely Laughs Off Fox Producer’s Question About Harris Avoiding Debate On Their Network: ‘Don’t Make Me Laugh’

This is epic.

During the Democratic National Convention this week, a Fox News producer approached former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) while she was in a golf cart, asking why Kamala Harris wonā€™t agree to a debate on Fox News.

The producer, Johnny Belisario, asked, “Should Kamala do a Fox debate? Why wonā€™t she do it?” Pelosi’s friend, sitting beside her, humorously responded, “Debate a fox?” Pelosi echoed the remark, and they both laughed, seemingly finding the question more of a “gotcha” attempt.

The confusion seems to stem from a post made by Donald Trump on his Truth Social platform, proposing a September 4 debate on Fox News. Initially, Kamala responded to this via Tweet:

Kamala Harris never agreed to this date, but Trump later claimed she had backed out of the debateā€”despite her never having committed to it in the first place. Itā€™s hard to back out of something you never agreed to attend.

Fox News, which often favors Trump, treated Trumpā€™s post as if it were an official debate date, further suggesting that Harris had backed out. This is likely why Pelosi found the question amusing.

In reality, the agreed-upon debate date is September 10, and itā€™s set to take place on ABC News. Trump has since suggested he might pull out of that debate, citing a conflict of interest due to ongoing litigation with the network. However, his real change of heart seems to have come after realizing that he wouldnā€™t be facing Joe Biden but Kamala Harris instead.

Many have speculated that Trump panicked, framing Harris stepping in for Biden as some sort of coup. It appears that facing Harris may be a bigger challenge than he had anticipated.
