Conservative pollster Sarah Longwell is out with a damning new column in The Atlantic that’s absolutely detrimental to scandal-ridden ex-President Donald Trump and his shot at a 2nd stint in the White House come 2024.

Longwell writes of a recent focus group she conducted on the topic of the 2024 presidential election, and her analysis shows a massive, brutally damning shift away from the washed-up former guy — with a staggering number of 2020 MAGA voters finally admitting that they’re just “exhausted” with Donald Trump’s relentless, unhinged behavior and they’re not interested in voting in favor of another four years of the nonsense.

In one of the most pointed pieces of bad news for the former guy, Longwell writes in her report that, out of 9 focus groups over the course of the last 6 months, “only 14 percent of Trump 2020 voters wanted him to run in 2024, with a few others on the fence.”

She goes on to note that, in speaking with conservative voters, Longwell discovered that while many of them still personally endorse Donald Trump, a large majority of them simultaneously believe that he doesn’t stand a chance at winning the presidency again.

Longwell quotes one Trump voter from Washington state saying, “He’s just too divisive and controversial. There are good candidates out there waiting to shine.”

Her column in The Atlantic reads:

Unlike the impeachment hearings, which in some ways made GOP voters more defensive of Trump, the accumulating drama of the January 6 hearings—which they can’t avoid in social-media feeds—seems to be facilitating not a wholesale collapse of support, but a soft permission to move on. And it helps that these GOP voters are enthusiastic about other candidates they could move on to. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is the most popular alternative cited by voters in these focus groups. But they also like many other politicians who gained prominence during the Trump years, such as South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and Texas Governor Greg Abbott.”

A different 2020 Trump supporter took aim at Donald’s tweeting habits and made a specific note that they’re not exactly looking forward to Trump winning the election and having his Twitter privileges restored after his permanent ban from his favorite social media platform as a result of his January 6th tweets.

“I do not want four more years of ‘orange man bad’ and everybody screaming about every time he tweets—and believe me, he did some really bad tweets,” the Ohio voter stated. “I don’t want four more years of that.”

One Wyoming voter weighed in, stating, “I feel like there’s too many people against him right now. He’s never gonna make it … So I feel like somebody else needs to step in that has similar views, but not as big of an ego—who people like, I guess.”
