If youโ€™ve ever been frustrated with someone who just wonโ€™t stop making things difficult, youโ€™ll understand how Joe Biden feels about Donald Trump. In Bob Woodwardโ€™s new book, we learn that while Biden publicly calls Trump โ€œmy predecessorโ€ or โ€œthe former guy,โ€ behind closed doors, he refers to him as โ€œthat f***ing asshole.โ€ And honestly, who could blame him?

But this isnโ€™t just about Bidenโ€™s personal feelings. Many people across America share his frustration. A tweet from PatriotTakes captures this perfectly: โ€œMany people are saying this: โ€˜While Biden rarely invokes Trumpโ€™s name publicly, referring to him as โ€œmy predecessorโ€ or โ€œthe former guy,โ€ in private, Biden calls him โ€œthat f**ing asshole,โ€ Woodward writes.โ€™โ€*

Itโ€™s a sentiment that others echo. Mary Claire tweeted, โ€œHahaha donโ€™t we all!! Go Joe!!โ€ Sheโ€™s not alone in feeling this way. Trumpโ€™s actions have angered countless Americans, and Bidenโ€™s frustration is just a reflection of that shared anger. Another Twitter user, Sandwater & Lake, tweeted, โ€œBecause Trump is indeed a F**ing Assholeโ€ฆ Every decent person recognizes thisโ€ฆโ€* Itโ€™s clear that Trumpโ€™s behavior has upset many people, and Bidenโ€™s choice of words is one way to let off steam.

But letโ€™s talk about why Biden is so angry. Itโ€™s not just because of a few tweets or insults. Biden and Trump have not had a good relationship from the start. When Trump was president, he made choices that upset many people. For example, he didnโ€™t believe in climate change, which worried people about the planetโ€™s future. He also made it hard for immigrants to come to the U.S., which upset families. When protests for Black Lives Matter happened, Trump sent in troops instead of listening to the people. He also pushed harmful policies that deepened divisions in the country and made it harder for people to come together. All of these actions, and many others, created lasting damage and frustration for Biden, who has had to deal with the fallout from Trumpโ€™s time in office.

Even people outside the Democratic Party have been critical of Trump. Former Republican President George W. Bush, for example, called Biden after the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. According to Woodwardโ€™s book, Bush said, โ€œI got f**ed by my intel people, too.โ€* This shows that Trumpโ€™s actions, even after leaving office, have left a lasting impact on the country and the world.

Bidenโ€™s anger also shows in his thoughts about his Attorney General, Merrick Garland. According to Woodward, Biden said, โ€œShould never have picked Garland.โ€ This is another example of how Biden is dealing with the aftermath of Trumpโ€™s presidency, and the constant challenges it brings.

Bidenโ€™s frustration isnโ€™t just personal; it shows how many people in the country feel. Trumpโ€™s actions hurt the country, and Bidenโ€™s strong words are how he shows the frustration and chaos heโ€™s faced. Many people share those feelings, which is why Bidenโ€™s words make sense to so many.
