Something isn’t adding up

On Friday, February 27, President Donald Trump, 79, reappeared in public after two days away from the spotlight.

As he walked toward Air Force One, he stopped briefly to speak with reporters outside the White House. He wore a dark blue suit, a white button-down shirt, and a polka-dot tie, a familiar look. But while the outfit was typical, some observers focused on something else.

His appearance.

On X, one user wrote, “After disappearing from public view for two days, Trump returned today sounding exhausted and not looking healthy.”

Another added, “No kidding! I have been saying for months he’s not normal! I never want to hear people talk about Biden’s health ever again!”

A third suggested, “They should let him rest for a few more days,” while someone else asked, “How’s that hand looking?”

Concerns about the president’s hands have been building for months. During a televised meeting with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky in December, viewers noticed visible bruising on the back of Trump’s hand. At the time, makeup appeared to be used to conceal the marks. Similar bruising was spotted again during holiday appearances.

The speculation intensified after Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency several months ago — a condition that affects blood flow in the veins.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has addressed the issue before, saying the bruising stems from “consistent” irritation caused by “frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin.”

When asked whether Trump’s physician would offer more details, Leavitt pushed back. “Unlike the previous White House, there is nothing to hide,” she said.

“Look, you see the president every day,” she added. “He’s moving, he’s working. There have been no adjustments made to his lifestyle.”

Still, not everyone is convinced.

Some critics have now dragged Fox News into the discussion.

During a recent Oval Office press conference, the network aired a breaking news banner reading, “Trump taking reporter questions from Oval Office.” Viewers online claimed the graphic conveniently covered the president’s hands.

One X user wrote, “Fox News making sure you can’t see Trump’s hand today. But it WAS captured & it is badly bruised. Doesn’t look like a mild bump type of bruise. American people deserve to know the status of his health.”
