A new photo from March 2, 2026, shows President Donald Trump with a red, rash-like mark on his neck. It’s hard to miss, sitting just above his collar. This adds to the ongoing attention on his hands, which have shown bruising and discoloration since early 2025.

The White House has not offered a clear explanation for the neck mark.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has defended Trump’s health in the past, calling him in “exceptional health” based on Walter Reed evaluations. In January 2026, she said hand bruising comes from “frequent handshaking in a busy Oval Office environment” and Trump’s daily aspirin, which thins blood and makes marks more visible. An October 2025 MRI reportedly showed no heart or abdominal issues.

Doctors point out that some of these marks are consistent with age. Chronic venous insufficiency, confirmed by the White House, can explain hand and ankle discoloration. Dermatologists note that thin skin and minor trauma, combined with aspirin, can make bruising appear worse.

One told CNN the marks are “consistent with minor soft tissue irritation.” Critics, however, note that bruises appear in different places at different times, making the explanations feel incomplete.

The neck mark, though, seems new. Journalist Aaron Rupar shared the photo on X, and it exploded across timelines within hours.

Replies poured in.

Trump’s health is being watched closely. He goes out less, rests more, and sometimes naps during events. He says he’s in “perfect health” and blames bruises on aspirin. But his makeup, uneven skin, and tired look make people question it.
