Questions continue to swirl about President Donald Trump’s health, whether it’s the mysterious spots on his hands or the president opting for the “small steps” while walking onto Air Force One.

There’s also the occasional surfacing of photos like this one, in which the president appeared to be walking around the White House gingerly:

It’s not clear what the context of that photo is, although it surfaced on Tuesday, when Trump was at the White House. But the reaction on social media was nearly unanimous: The president doesn’t look very good:

Bad health or not, it wasn’t a great day for Trump on Tuesday, especially with Republicans losing off-year elections around the country.

“Voters up and down the East Coast delivered Democrats a sweep on Tuesday, electing candidates across the party’s ideological spectrum in a vivid show of discontent with President Donald Trump nearly a year into his second term,” was how CNN described election night, as Democrat Abigail Spanberger recaptured the Virginia governor’s mansion after four years of Republican rule, with the Democrats appearing to gain majorities in the state legislature as well.

In the president’s longtime hometown of New York City, Democrat Zohran Mamdani, who had Trump had denounced as a “communist” in a TV interview last weekend, was elected mayor, over Trump’s endorsed candidate, Andrew Cuomo. And in California, a referendum to redraw the Congressional districts was passed easily.

Beyond all that, Republican candidates underperformed Trump, continuing the trend of Trump not being able to deliver for his base when he is not on the ballot. And Trump, despite the wishes of some of his fans, will never be on the ballot again.

Trump was mostly quiet on election night, declaring on Truth Social that “‘TRUMP WASN’T ON THE BALLOT, AND SHUTDOWN, WERE THE TWO REASONS THAT REPUBLICANS LOST ELECTIONS TONIGHT,’ according to Pollsters.” He went on to pivot to bragging about the ratings of his 60 Minutes appearance, before demanding that his fellow Republicans “TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER! GET BACK TO PASSING LEGISLATION AND VOTER REFORM!”
