I’ve personally been covering Donald Trump and his “people” for several years now — since the moment the washed-up real estate “mogul” and reality TV “star” took that infamous golden escalator ride to announce his 2016 presidential candidacy.
Suffice it to say, it takes a lot to surprise, rattle, or confuse me when it comes to these people. Infuriate me? Absolutely. Sicken me? Every single day. But these days, it takes a lot to make me sit back and go, “Well… huh…”
This did.
Ex-President Trump and his longtime ally and presidential pardon recipient Roger Stone have apparently been apart for a while now and were recently reunited at a Mar-a-Lago event over the weekend, according to a report from The Independent.

Stone ended up sharing a video clip of the reunion to the Conservative social media site Rumble, as well as a few other platforms, showing the two old pals chumming it up and hugging it out in a super cringy embrace.
But believe it or not, it actually gets worse from there.
In the clip, the ex-president doesn’t appear to notice Stone at first, before turning around and shouting, “Roger, my man! I didn’t even see you. How could I not see my Roger,” before leaning into a hug with his old crony.
“God Bless You,” Stone says in response as Trump follows up, “I hope you’re doing well, is everything OK?”
And then Roger Stone says this:
Ron DeSantis is a piece of sh*t.”
And the clip ends.
Yea, I don’t get it either.
The conversation between the pair didn’t seem to have a single thing to do with the controversial Florida Republican governor, nor did it even seem to be headed in that general direction. But nevertheless, there came Stone’s declaration right out of the wild blue yonder.
The video clip immediately ends after Stone’s random remarks, so absolutely no context is given for the DeSantis hating comment.
Frankly, this might be the single only time I have ever or will ever agree with Roger Stone — Ron DeSantis is absolutely a raging piece of sh*t. But I have a feeling our reasonings behind that opinion are wildly different.
