Newly Leaked Info Reportedly Shows Pence Allies May Be Trying To Inflict More Political Damage On Trump At One Of His Most Vulnerable Moments

I don’t think anyone out there can deny that former President Donald Trump has officially hit rock bottom. The FBI has swarmed and raided his Mar-a-Lago estate, he’s now reportedly under investigation for numerous potential violations of the Espionage Act, and the various other probes and lawsuits lodged against him are showing absolutely no signing of stopping. Suffice it to say, the man is truly lower than he’s ever been, and it’s only going to get worse from here — especially if allies of his own former vice president have any say in the matter.

The New York Times broke an interesting story this morning on the stark differences between the way Donald Trump handled sensitive government information compared to the way his right-hand man Mike Pence did on their ways out of the White House, during the tumultuous end of Donald’s overall disastrous presidency, based on new information that was recently leaked to the publication.

The Times reported on the startling contrast:

As Mr. Trump sought to hold on to power, two of Mr. Pence’s senior aides — Marc Short, his chief of staff, and Greg Jacob, his counsel — indexed and boxed all of his government papers, according to three former officials with knowledge of the work. Mr. Jacob spent the bulk of his final few days in government preparing the final boxes, with the goal of ensuring that Mr. Pence left office without a single paper that did not belong to him, one of the officials said.”

After catching wind of this new information, Washington Post columnist Greg Sargent had an eye-opening theory that he dives into in his new analysis on what this could all mean behind closed doors.

Sargent points out that it’s hard to imagine these points being made without at least tacit awareness on Pence’s part.” The WaPo columnist goes on to note that this would ultimately mean Mike Pence’s allies “might be slipping in the shiv at a vulnerable moment” for the former president who’s currently drowning in scandal.

He goes on to note in his analysis that both Jacob and Short ultimately delivered explosive (some of which was downright damning for Donald Trump) testimonies before the January 6th House Select Committee that is currently investigating the infamous Capitol attack, as well as Donald Trump’s specific role in inciting the fatal violence. Both of their testimonies reportedly served as further proof that the then-president was made fully aware by legal experts and counsel on several different occasions that his scheme to pressure and all but force his vice president to help him overthrow the 2020 presidential election by throwing out certified electoral votes was against the US Constitution.

It seems like some of Pence’s closest insiders are trying to get even now.
