Pentagon Has Reportedly Halted Transition Briefings With Biden; Acting Defense Secretary Allegedly Meeting With Trump And Pence This Afternoon

Donald Trump has been trying to cling to power while never promising a peaceful transition to the Biden administration after the president clearly lost the presidential race in both the popular and electoral vote. Trump keeps trying desperately to overturn the election results, and his Republican enablers have even suggested military intervention. Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn said on Thursday that Trump could order “military capabilities” to swing states and “rerun an election in each of those states.”

With all that in mind, it makes this report from Axios unnerving.

Acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller ordered a Pentagon-wide halt to cooperation with the transition of President-elect Biden, shocking officials across the Defense Department, senior administration officials tell Axios.

This makes Trump’s only scheduled event look suspicious:

Earlier this month, we reported that the White House removed nine members of the Pentagon’s Defense Business Board, then they installed people loyal to Trump in their place.

Axios notes that officials were “stunned” by today’s news.

“Miller’s move, which stunned officials throughout the Pentagon, was the biggest eruption yet of animus and mistrust toward the Biden team from the top level of the Trump administration,” the report states. “On Thursday night, Miller — who was appointed Nov. 9, when Trump fired Defense Secretary Mark Esper right after the election — ordered officials throughout the building to cancel scheduled transition meetings.”

“A senior Defense Department official sought to downplay the move,” the news outlet reports, ‘calling it “a simple delay of the last few scheduled meetings until after the new year.”‘

Yeah, no. And Trump, who hasn’t even acknowledged the coronavirus spiking across the United States, or that our country is under threat from Russia with a massive cybersecurity attack is only concerned with staying in power.

Raise your hand if you knew that putting an unstable, unhinged man into power, that cheated on all of his wives, bankrupted casinos, is a habitual liar with a raging narcissistic disorder, was a very bad idea.

Was the crisis in Afghanistan surrounding the pull out of American Troops Biden's fault or Trump's fault?
