Melania Trump has a new way to make money, and it involves artificial intelligence. The first lady is now charging fans $25 for a Spanish-language version of her 7-hour audiobook, which is read in Spanish by an AI-generated version of her own voice.
The English version, also AI-generated, was released earlier in May. At the time, Melania called it “the future of publishing.” Now, she is targeting Spanish-speaking audiences, promoting the release as a way to make her story “accessible to Spanish speakers everywhere.”
The audiobook covers everything from her family’s history as onion farmers in what is now Slovenia, to a disputed kiss from the king of Saudi Arabia, her mix-up ordering pizza for the Pope, and her dislike of raw fish.
“Today, we launch the very first foreign-language version of my audiobook, beginning with Espanol, built with artificial intelligence,” Melania told Fox News. She also said the Spanish version was inspired by the “enthusiasm and heartfelt requests” of Spanish-speaking fans.

However, it is unclear if Melania actually speaks Spanish. Back in 2016, she told MSNBC she was fluent in five languages: English, Italian, French, German, and Slovenian. Spanish was never mentioned, and there is little evidence that she can actually speak it.
Despite this, the AI-generated version promises to give Spanish speakers the experience of hearing her voice narrate her memoir. Fans of the book can now listen to her entire story without needing to understand English, or at least that is the idea.
The release comes as native Spanish speakers make up a significant portion of the U.S. population. Roughly 40% of immigrants in the United States speak Spanish, with most coming from Mexico, Cuba, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and the Dominican Republic.
What makes the move especially notable is the contrast with her husband’s administration.
During Donald Trump’s time in the White House, these same communities faced some of the harshest immigration policies in recent history. Deportation raids, aggressive immigration enforcement, and lawsuits over due process violations drew heavy criticism. Critics described the policies as “brutal” and a serious human rights concern.
So while Spanish-speaking communities are the target audience for Melania’s AI audiobook, they were also the ones most affected by her husband’s immigration crackdown. The irony has not gone unnoticed on social media.
It is also unclear if the upcoming documentary based on her memoir, MELANIA, will be released in Spanish in U.S. theaters when it premieres on January 30, 2026.
