Just earlier this week, we reported on new remarks from Trump biographer Tim O’Brien, who was reacting to the former president’s recent claims that he’s more mentally sharp now than he’s ever been. O’Brien, of course, had to disagree, noting that the then-New York real estate mogul was Not very cognitively together then” when he was shadowing Trump to pen his TrumpNation biography way back in 2005.
“Much less cognitively better now,” the author and former New York Times journalist said in response to Trump’s less-than-humble brag about his supposed mental clarity.
During his recent Portsmouth, New Hampshire campaign event, Trump told his supporters, “I think, cognitively I’m better than I was 20 years ago. I don’t know why.”
The 77-year-old scandal-ridden ex-president went on to claim that he feels “about 35 years old.”
Frankly, we have to disagree.

Trump made another stop in Concord, New Hampshire this week for another rally, where he put his lack of cognizance and mental awareness on full display when he repeatedly confused his 2024 Republican presidential opponent Nikki Haley with former Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
The former president was speaking on the topic of the infamous January 6th Capitol insurrection when he went to spout his ages-old lie that then-House Speaker Pelosi was actually the one responsible for the attack because she was in charge of Capitol security. This, of course, isn’t true, all on its own. But Trump made it worse when he, not once, not twice, but four different times, said Nikki Haley in place of Nancy Pelosi.
After literally repeating Haley’s name 3 times in a row, Trump still didn’t catch his mistake when he went on to say, “Nikki Haley is in charge of security. We offered her 10,000 people, soldiers, National Guard. Whatever they want. They turned it down.”
Trump just confused Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi, saying Nikki Haley was in charge of the Capitol security on Jan. 6

The incident rightfully led people to wonder if Trump’s suffering from dementia or some other mental ailment that’s gotten completely out of control:

Dementia is a tragic thing, and not something to be taken lightly but in Trump’s case it’s hard to know whether you’re witnessing the usual stupidity, ignorance and lies end or dementia.
