People Respond After New Up-Close Photos Of Melania Go Viral

That's definitely a close up.

At a White House picnic this week, Melania Trump surprised many with a bold new look. She wore a white blouse, floral pants, and bright pink shoes. Her hair had new blonde highlights

Still, not everyone was impressed by Melania’s appearance. Some people online said she looked overly edited or fake, with some even comparing her to other celebrities. There were also comments about her eyes and facial expressions, with many saying something felt off. To them, the look seemed more filter.

It's just sad... She might be a hostage or she might not

Did she have her face "done?" She looks... different.

But while the spotlight was on her fashion, serious events were happening in the country. Protesters were marching in Los Angeles against new immigration raids. President Trump responded by sending thousands of National Guard troops and even 700 Marines into the city. Many people see this as a dangerous move.

At the picnic, Trump praised Melania not only for her looks but also for her role in helping pass a law called the Take It Down Act. This law makes it illegal to post fake or real sexual images of someone online without their permission. Trump joked, “You’re gonna take my job, Melania!”

The law passed with support from both parties, a rare occurrence in today’s politics. Melania said these kinds of images can hurt people, especially young kids, and called social media “digital candy” that can damage children’s minds.

While the law is a good step, some say Trump used Melania’s moment to shift attention away from his actions with military power.

At the same time, chaos was building in Los Angeles. Protesters were angry after ICE agents started arresting undocumented migrants across the city. In response, Trump ordered the California National Guard and Marines to take over the streets. This shocked many people, including California Governor Gavin Newsom. He said Trump’s action was illegal and dangerous. Newsom called it “a step toward authoritarianism.” He even sued Trump’s administration to stop it.

A federal judge agreed with Newsom. The judge ruled that Trump did not have the authority to take control of California’s National Guard and stated that it violated the U.S. Constitution.

But Trump did not back down. His lawyers filed an appeal to keep the troops in LA. He also went online to blame the immigration problem on President Biden and California’s governor. Trump wrote, “Biden Administration and Governor Newscum flooded America with 21 Million Illegal Alienss… 'all of them have to go home.”

Even though Trump is using strong words, many people believe he’s just trying to spread fear. Some say he is using immigrants as a pretext to appear tough so he can appear strong before the 2026 midterm elections.

But this isn’t just about what’s happening in Los Angeles or about immigration. It’s also about Trump using the military in a way that feels meant to scare the public and stop peaceful protests. Many consider this to be crossing a line that should never be crossed. In America, the president is not supposed to send soldiers into cities unless there is a very serious reason.

Additionally, the U.S. Constitution grants each state the right to control its own National Guard. That’s written in the Tenth Amendment. However, Trump acted as if that rule didn’t matter and took over anyway.
