On Sunday, the president, vice president, and several members of the cabinet flew to Arizona to attend the memorial service for Charlie Kirk at the Arizona Cardinals’ football stadium.

House Speaker Mike Johnson posted a photo of himself on Air Force One en route to the service, along with President Trump, Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Dr. Mehmet Oz, Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner, and the wives of Johnson and Oz.

Some noticed that Trump was sitting in what appeared to be a chair too tall for him, and also that the men in the picture seemed to be all smiles, on such a solemn occasion.

It was also noticed that the lock screens of the numerous phones were all visible:

With much of the cabinet attending the event in Arizona, some asked who will serve as “designated survivor” for the day. The answer is 92-year-old Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA), the Senate President Pro Tempore, who is not believed to be attending the service in Arizona. He is not the official designated survivor, as that only applies to cabinet members, and comes into play for presidential addresses to Congress and other events of the sort.
