President Biden Just Ruthlessly Roasted Trump With A Rare Name Drop In Proud Victory Lap Over Jobs Report And The Former Guy’s Ego Won’t Take It Well

Despite having more than enough right to do so, after everything the man has done to this country, President Joe Biden doesn’t make a habit out of openly or publicly criticizing his predecessor Donald Trump — though, God knows Trump doesn’t return that favor in any conceivable way.

Biden tends to carry himself with poise and grace and tries his best to give respect, even where it isn’t always deserved or earned. Because that’s what a leader is supposed to do.

But every once in a while, even Joe can’t resist.

This morning, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released its jobs report that shows a whopping 372,000 in the month of June — tens of thousands more jobs in the US than what was expected — while showing that unemployment in the country remains at only 3.6 percent, as expected.

The President wasn’t about to pass up the opportunity to take a victory lap for his success and made sure that the guy who came before him knew he was getting beat.

In a statement sent to Mediaite, President Biden made note that “record job growth” has led to “the fastest and strongest jobs recovery in American history.”

“Today, we learned that our private sector has recovered all of the jobs lost during the pandemic, and added jobs on top of that,” Biden’s statement read.

But don’t worry, he didn’t leave out his predecessor. In what Mediaite referred to as a “rare name-check” of the man Biden usually refers to as “the former guy,” the president made sure Donald Trump knew full and well that he’s been beaten.

“We have more Americans working in the private sector today than any day during Donald Trump’s Presidency – more people than any time in our history,” the president wrote.

Biden did warn Americans that job growth could cool off in the coming months but explained, “That is not a bad thing, because our economy should move to stable growth for the years ahead.”

The president concluded his statement on job growth in the country by calling on Congress to pass his agenda that would help to “lower costs for families.”

Statement by President Biden on the June Jobs Report

Today, we learned that our private sector has recovered all of the jobs lost during the pandemic, and added jobs on top of that. This has been the fastest and strongest jobs recovery in American history, and it would not have been possible without the decisive action my Administration took last year to fix a broken COVID response, and pass the American Rescue Plan to get our economy back on track.

In the second quarter of this year, we created more jobs than in any quarter under any of my predecessors in the nearly 40 years before the pandemic. We have more Americans working in the private sector today than any day during Donald Trump’s Presidency – more people than any time in our history.

The historic strength of our job market is one reason our economy is uniquely well positioned to tackle a range of global economic challenges – from global inflation to the economic fallout from Putin’s war. No country is better positioned than America to bring down inflation, without giving up all of the economic gains we have made over the last 18 months.

Of course, having added a record number of new jobs, and achieved historically low levels of unemployment, additional job growth from this strong position will be slower. That is not a bad thing, because our economy should move to stable growth for the years ahead.

The best way to achieve that goal is for Congress to pass legislation that lowers costs for families – from prescription drugs to utility costs – while reducing the federal budget deficit, in addition to passing the Bipartisan Innovation Act.”
