The Right has done a proficient job in drumming up fear over recent weeks, after several additional unidentified flying objects were spotted and shot down over the US and into the Canadian border, following the Chinese Spy Balloon fiasco earlier this month. To hear the Right talk, we’re mere moments away from a full-on alien invasion at this point.

However, President Biden has now formally addressed the nation regarding the matter of the UFOs (which quite literally stands for “unidentified flying objects” and has nothing to do specifically with aliens or any extraterrestrial beings) and ensured that the American people know the truth, and his plan to combat any further issues.

Biden confirmed in his press conference yesterday that he personally and immediately delivered the order for the US military to shoot down the objects, due to concerns regarding air traffic, as well as any intel the objects may have observed or collected. The president further confirmed that there has been no indication that the additional objects in US air space were in any way connected to the Chinese Spy Balloon project and instead appear to hail from private companies or institutions conducting their own research, or something as simple as recreation. The president also added that he has instructed the US military to come up with a better plan and criteria list to determine what the objects are, to ensure that the country isn’t wasting resources shooting down harmless objects.

However, he did ensure the nation that if any object “poses a threat to America I will shoot it down.”

In addition to President Biden’s press conference, the National Security Council released a statement earlier this week, confirming that the 3 unidentified objects spotted in US air space following the Chinese balloon fiasco were, in fact, “benign” and merely related to commercial purposes by private entities. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also addressed the press in the same briefing and stated matter of factly that the objects were in no way related to extraterrestrials of any kind.

NSC spokesperson John Kirby told the nation:

It can be overwhelming to try to gather, out of all of the radar clutter, the things that are operating at extremely low speed. They’re detecting more. Because they’re detecting more, they’re launching more. Because they’re launching more, they’re finding things that don’t make sense more. And then they’re taking action, especially when it poses a threat to civil aviation.”

All of this comes on the heels of recent confirmation from Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin that the US military has since upgraded and fine-tuned its observation systems in the wake of the spy balloon ordeal. The system was previously set to monitor only fast-moving objects such as planes. However, since the balloon ordeal, it has been tuned to now also spot and monitor slower-moving objects, like the balloons we’ve seen in recent weeks. All of that is to say that much of the reason why we’re suddenly seeing an influx in these UFOs is simply that we are actually looking for them now.

This is the first time that President Biden has directly addressed the Chinese Spy Balloon incident in a press conference to the nation, and revealed that he gave the orders to immediately shoot the device down. However, it was the US military that convinced the president to wait until the balloon was in air space over the ocean, instead of land, as the balloon was very large, and disarming it over civilian areas could hurt people or property below.

The president also directly addressed China when he stated, “A violation of our sovereignty is unacceptable.”
