Pulitzer-Prize Winning Political Analyst Said Donald Trump โ€œDoesnโ€™t Care Anymore,โ€ Claimed The Ex-President Is In โ€œBurn It All Down Modeโ€

He's not doing so well.

Itโ€™s been pretty clear that Donald Trump hasnโ€™t been in the best place, mentally, as he continues to face down multiple lawsuits and investigations, more than a year out from his disastrous presidency โ€” and thereโ€™s certainly no real end in sight.

However, according to one Pulitzer-Prize-winning CNN political analyst, it seems the one-term, twice-impeached former guyโ€™s mental state may have finally hit rock bottom, as she says Donald Trump is now in โ€œburn it all down mode.โ€

โ€œWe begin this hour with the former president, his weekend of lies and reckless promises and the debate between Republicans who adore him and Republicans who abhor him,โ€ CNNโ€™s John King opened the segment. โ€œAt a Texas rally, Donald Trump talked of a comeback. His list included talk of pardoning those convicted of attacking the Capitol and the country on Jan. 6th last year. Then last night, Trump issued a statement the Jan. 6th committee will take as a confession, the former president says it is unfortunate that Mike Pence didnโ€™t overturn the 2020 election.โ€

New York Timesโ€™ Maggie Haberman participated in the segment as a political analyst.

โ€œYou tweeted last night that Trump was saying the quiet out loud when he issued this statement,โ€ King stated. โ€œBut what did that tell you about Donald Trumpโ€™s mindset and thinking at this juncture?โ€

โ€œHeโ€™s in, John, burn it all down mode and has been for some time,โ€ Haberman answered.

โ€œIt raises questions for me, candidly, about the vetting process around these statements going out because that was a jarring statement, I think not just for the Jan. 6th committee, but probably for lawyers involved in the civil suits against Donald Trump related to the riot of the Capitol on Jan. 6th,โ€ she went on to warn.

โ€œSo you take all of that together and you see the portrait of somebody who really doesnโ€™t care anymore and wants to put it all on his terms and who knows he can keep pushing the bounds and there basically so far โ€” other than losing the election, which is not nothing, but other than losing the election โ€” there havenโ€™t been that many penalties,โ€ Haberman added.

We can only hope that this means Donald Trump will have soon dug his own hole so deep, he canโ€™t get out of it anymore.
