Controversial Georgia Republican House Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene effectively got her ass handed to her today, after she attempted to pick a fight with her Democratic House colleague Rep. Eric Swalwell, only for it to backfire in her face so hard we’re not sure she’ll ever truly recover.
Rep. Swalwell took to his own Twitter this week to tell of a pro-Trump family he witnessed while giving a Capitol tour. Greene decided to Jump on her colleague’s tweet and accuse him of lying about the whole thing. Suffice it to say, it didn’t turn out so well for Marje at the end of the little Twitter spat.
“Today I gave a tour in the Capitol and was stopped by a father with his young boy,” Swalwell recalled in a tweet he posted this week. The father yelled at me ‘Hey Swalwell’ and then told his son, ‘that’s Swalwell. He’s trouble. He doesn’t back Trump.’ I kept walking and felt sad for the boy. He’s being raised in a cult family.”

A few hours later, Greene seemingly caught wind of Swalwell’s story and promptly took to Twitter to declare that there was “no way that happened.”
“Because we all know good Trump supporting fathers would say, ‘that’s the Democrat who had sex with a Chinese spy,'” Greene fired.

Allegations regarding a sexual relationship with a Chinese spy known as Christine Fang began spreading like wildfire among Right-wing circles in December of 2020 after Axios reported that Swalwell was involved in years-long communications with Fang. There has been no evidence to suggest that Swalwell has sexual contact with the Chinese spy.
Following Greene’s attempt to dunk on the Democratic House rep. with these claims, Swalwell fired back with a kill shot, releasing audio of a violently threatening voicemail that was left on his office phone and he says the caller was more than likely motivated by Greene’s hate-filled rhetoric.
“Marjorie loves to play the victim. But she’s an inciter of violence,” Eric’s tweet read in response to Greene’s claims, captioning the audio recording of the violent voicemail. “Her constant attacks — even after the FBI said I was never suspected of wrongdoing — lead to threatening calls like this. This caller from today threatened to kill my three children.”

In the audio clip, a man can be heard saying, “Hey, you little c**ksucker. You still banging the Chinese spy Fang Fang? … We’re coming to your house this weekend. Gon’ get you and them little mutant bastards, them little mutant offspring of yours. We’re gon’ get ya.”
Nice try, Marje.
