Report Claims Trump-Loving Republicans In Congress Are Pushing Kid Rock To Run For Office And We're Not All That Surprised

According to a new report from Rolling Stone, the Trump-loving MAGA crowd in Congress has apparently pegged their newest pick for a lawmaker position, and it’s even worse than you’d imagine.

Apparently, “some MAGA members of Congress” have their eye on none other than celebrity wash-up and devout MAGA supporter, Kid Rock, urging the singer/songwriter to run for a congressional seat in Tennessee, according to reporting from Politico. It seems the group of current Republican congress members is attempting to recruit the rapper/country music singer to throw his hat into the ring for Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District.

It seems the sudden interest in the “Picture” singer comes on the heels of the release of his new, politically charged single titled, “We The People” in which Rock takes aim at Dr. Anthony Fauci and PResident Joe Biden amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Shortly following the song’s public release, Kid Rock took to his Instagram account with a photo of the cover art for his new song, to detail former President Donald Trump’s reaction to the new song.

“I just got off the phone with our 45th President (hopefully 47th) and he expressed how proud of me he was over ‘We The People’ being the #1 song on Itunes! Suck on that you trolls, critics and haters! Thank you to all the fans, I can’t wait to see you on tour! Pedal to the fuckin’ metal, LET’S GO!!” the singer wrote on Instagram.

However, the singer has yet to confirm if he’d even be interested in such a political move, despite such a politically-charged new song. In fact, back in 2017 during an interview with Howard Stern, Kid Rock firmly asserted that he had absolutely no interest in running for public office of any form.

“Fuck no, I’m not running for Senate, are you kidding me?” the singer told Stern back in 2017. “Who couldn’t figure that out? I’m releasing a new album. I’m going on tour, too. Are you f***ing s***ting me?”
