It finally felt like a monster at least got close to the repercussions he deserved.
Now, a recent report from TMZ has revealed that Chauvin’s life inside his cell is every bit as “dismal” as he deserves.

Sources reportedly spoke with the publication and told TMZ that Chauvin’s entire existence is “dismal” as the former officer turned murderer spends all but an hour of every day locked in a cell all alone.
The report claims that Chauvin “is experiencing the consequences of his actions, leading a dismal life in prison, under intense security and with few freedoms… a fate he sealed for himself.”
“He’s got surveillance cameras on his every move, and the prison staff checks on him every 30 mins,” the report goes on to read.
Chauvin has thus far served only 8 months out of his 22 and a half year-long sentence, following his conviction.
TMZ reports that a contact within the facility revealed “Chauvin remains isolated, without job opportunities, educational programs or contact with other inmates. Not only that… he showers, eats, goes to the bathroom, and sleeps all in the same cell. We’re told he gets about an hour each day outside his cell for exercise.”
Recently, the former Minneapolis police officer pleaded guilty to federal charges against him, which could have him serving up to 25 years. Reports indicate that he would then be moved to a new facility.
