Report Claims Trump’s First Speech Since Leaving The White House Will Be To Establish Himself As The GOP’s “Presumptive 2024 Nominee”

He's never going to go away, is he?

When former president Donald Trump was banned on Twitter, he came back using his official POTUS account and then was banned in that one, too. Trump’s narcissism will not allow him to accept defeat after being curb-stomped in the popular and electoral vote by Joe Biden. Like with Twitter, Trump will not go away to live his life after his one term in office. Instead, he plans to claim total control of the GOP, according to Axios. Like herpes, Trump will keep coming back even though America fired him.

Former vice president Mike Pence declined an invitation to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) next week — and that was after news that Trump plans to attend. And that’s probably a good move on Pence’s part since his former boss’s supporters wanted to murder him.

At CPAC, Trump plans to send the message that he is Republicans’ “presumptive 2024 nominee” while putting a massive grip on the party’s base, top Trump allies told the outlet.

“A longtime adviser called Trump’s speech a “show of force,” and said the message will be: “I may not have Twitter or the Oval Office, but I’m still in charge.” Payback is his chief obsession,” Axios reports.

Regarding Trump’s penchant for payback, the former president, according to the outlet, is expected to stoke primary challenges for some of those who he believes have crossed him and “shower money and endorsements on the Trumpiest candidates.”

“Trump’s speech Sunday at CPAC in Orlando is designed to show that he controls the party, whether or not he runs in 2024,” Axios reports, adding that, “Many Trump confidants think he’ll pretend to run but ultimately pass. He knows the possibility — or threat — gives him leverage and attention.”

“Trump plans to argue in the CPAC speech that many of his predictions about President Biden have already come true,” the report continues, and I’m not sure what his predictions were. The president is battling the coronavirus that Trump surrendered to without putting up a fight, but OK.

Trump has an iron grip on the GOP, and in turn, Republicans can’t seem to let him go even while there is a civil war taking place in their own party. And, remarkably, they are doing this for one man — one incredibly flawed individual.
