Scandalous New Book From Former Trump Advisor Claims Donald Plotted To Dump Son-In-Law Jared Kushner Ahead Of 2020 Election, But Ivanka’s Hubby Refused To Step Down

Well, that's a bit awkward.

Throughout Donald Trump’s presidency, he seemed to boast a rather close, tight-knit relationship, both of the personal and professional variety, with his son-in-law, Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, who served as one of Trump’s senior advisors during his time in the White House. However, according to one of Trump’s other former top advisors, Donald wasn’t as big a fan of his eldest daughter’s hubby as one might think. In fact, it seems as though the then-president was actually plotting to push his son-in-law out during his 2020 campaign days, as they prepared for the second White House term that Trump didn’t ultimately get.

Business Insider is out with a new report on excerpts from former Trump advisor Peter Navarro’s upcoming book, Taking Back Trump’s America: Why We Lost the White House and How We’ll Win It Back, in which Navarro claims that in the weeks and months ahead of the 2020 presidential election, Donald Trump was plotting with some of his closest insiders to push out his son-in-law and replace him with none other than now-indicted Steve Bannon to head up his re-election campaign. Only, apparently, Trump couldn’t bring himself to personally deliver the news to Jared, as he worried about the family drama and discord that would ensue.

It’s worth noting here that Peter Navarro serves as probably the single biggest Jared Kushner hater to walk the earth these days. So, suffice it to say, we take everything he says with a grain of salt, especially when it comes to the infamous Trump son-in-law. But nevertheless, Insider’s Alia Shoiab wrote that in his book, Navarro “…described his role in the plot to oust Kushner, whom Navarro has made no secret of disliking. Navarro said he set up a meeting between Trump and Bernie Marcus, the founder of Home Depot and a major Republican donor, in which the president ‘readily agreed with Bernie that Jared had to be replaced with Steve.”

According to Peter’s upcoming tell-all, Donald Trump Jr. was also a big fan of the plot to boot out his brother-in-law from his dad’s re-election campaign.

“rump feared ‘family troubles if [he] himself had to deliver the bad news to … the father of his grandchildren,’ and so he asked Marcus ‘be the messenger,'” Insider’s report on Navarro’s book goes on to add. Navarro reportedly revealed that, when confronted by Marcus about the change, Kushner said “things were fine with the campaign, there was no way he was stepping down.”

“And that was that. And the rest is a catastrophic strategic failure history,” Navarro claims.

Frankly, there’s more drama in that family on a given day than you’d find in your average middle school in a year’s time.
