Social Media Goes Insane After Cold, Hard Fact-Check Confirms Trump Supporters Wore Adult Diapers To Donald’s Rallies

I don't even know where to begin to unpack this.

Social media is effectively losing its collective mind right now after the infamous Snopes got its fact-checking teeth into recent photos and reports that Donald Trump’s supporters were actually wearing adult diapers at the scandal-plagued ex-president’s recent rallies and carrying around merch and signs that say “Real men wear diapers” — and, as it turns out, it’s all true.

Earlier this month, the Trump rally diaper fiasco went viral across various social media platforms after photos of alleged Trump fans wearing plastic-y adult diapers and carrying around merchandise with the “real men wear diapers” slogan spread across the world wide web rather quickly. However, with Artificial Intelligence becoming more and more prominent these days, the majority of people who came across the photos assumed that they were either AI images or just staged by people who aren’t fans of the former president.

However, it turns out that those images were as real as the nose on my face. (And yes, my nose is the same one I was born with.)

As with many of these things that go viral like this, Snopes (largely considered to be the most prominent and trustworthy fact-checkers in existence) caught the wing of the images and the accompanying claims and decided to put it to the famous Snopes test.

“We noticed that the photographs that circulated all came from Dispatches from Trumpland, so we contacted the writers of the blog to ask for more details about the rallies. The writer replied that the photographs posted on April 11 had been taken at rallies in Greensboro, North Carolina, and Detroit. He added that he took the photographs in the April 24 post himself, in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania,” the report states. “He also shared an article from the Greensboro News & Record, published March 2, 2024, that included a photograph of a man it identified as Alfredo Alcala, who wore a red T-shirt that said ‘Real Men Wear Diapers.'”

“Because this trend was documented in coverage by reputable news outlets in addition to the reports by Dispatches from Trumpland, we have rated this claim as ‘True.'”

It seems that Donald’s supporters really are just making a crappy (pun intended) attempt to make light of and even embrace the long-running claims that former President Trump uses adult diapers and tends to have a rather unpleasant smell about him.

Conservative, Never-Trumper attorney and Kellyanne Conway’s ex-husband George was so appalled by the whole thing that he took to X (formerly known as Twitter) over the weekend and said, “This could not possibly be true.”

George had to eat his crow within just a few minutes of his first post, including a screenshot of the Snopes fact-check and writing, ” Okay, when I’m wrong, I’m wrong, and I admit it. I still find this hard to absorb, though.”

Conway was far from the only one to have a reaction like this, as social media users everywhere found this news particularly hard to cope with:
