No, itโ€™s not the creepiest thing Elon Musk has ever posted on social media. He joked last fall about wanting to father a child with Taylor Swift, leading his estranged daughter to describe Musk as a โ€œheinous incel.โ€ Musk has amplified more than his share of political extremism, even before he gave what may or may not have been a Nazi salute on Donald Trumpโ€™s inauguration day.

Still, Muskโ€™s comments about Ivanka Trumpโ€™s attire on Inauguration Day have raised some eyebrows.

The presidentโ€™s daughter, on the day after the inauguration, posted a photo of herself in an Audrey Hepburn-inspired gown, to which Musk replied, โ€œMaking fashion beautiful again.โ€

One reply guy tagged Ivankaโ€™s husband, Jared Kushner, with the statement โ€œwatch out.โ€

Other replies were a bit less Musk-friendly:

Musk wasnโ€™t the only one who commented on Ivankaโ€™s gown. The son of Audrey Hepburn, Sean Hepburn Ferrer, commented as well.

โ€œIt is no wonder that growing up in a family which knew our mother as a household name she chose to draw inspiration from her,โ€ Ferrer told The Daily Mail. โ€œTo seek the ultimate elegance and class reference for an occasion such as this one โ€” the inauguration and the 32nd anniversary of our motherโ€™s passing and, most of all, Martin Luther Kingโ€™s day. What a cocktail!โ€

However, Hello! magazine had another view of the gown choice: It fits a pattern of Ivanka copying Meghan Markleโ€™s fashion choices. Not only are both the First Daughter and the Duchess of Sussex the same age, but Markle also interviewed Ivanka for her fashion blog in 2014.

โ€œThe mother-of-two has an unlikely fan of her wardrobe it seems โ€“ none other than President Trumpโ€™s eldest daughter, Ivanka. The pair, both 43, love high-end labels and often pick tailored, classic designs when dressing for an event.โ€

Ivanka and her husband, Jared, had both served as official White House advisers during Trumpโ€™s first presidency, but neither returned, either for the campaign or to the White House this year.
