It’s long been theorized since 2016 that Donald J. Trump made people in this country think and believe that quite literally anyone can be president of the United States — and not in the cute way a teacher tells a class full of Kindergarteners or a mother tells a young kid who’s needing a confidence boost. I mean that in the washed-up reality TV “star,” real estate “mogul” living on daddy’s dime, dozens of sexual assault and rape allegations, three wives, cheating conman kinda way.
And boy, that has never rung more true and more horrifying than it does right this very moment.
Just when you thought this country’s standards could not possibly stoop any lower to the ground than Mr. 45, new speculations are now beginning to swirl that none other than Fox News talking head and Putin’s favorite pundit Tucker Carlson might be eyeing a run at the White House, as he’s slated to headline the 2022 FAMiLY Leadership Summit in Des Moines, Iowa this July, per an announcement from the summit itself.
What’s that matter, you may be thinking?
This is the summit to be at for any GOPer looking at a possible stab at the presidency. This is the epitome of Republican presidential candidate stomping grounds.

The Iowa summit held by FAMiLY Leader, a socially conservative Chrisitan political organization, was attended and headlined by the likes of former VP Mike Pence, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem back in 2021 — all of whom have been pegged as serious potential candidates for the 2024 Republican presidential ticket.
The new announcement that Tucker Carlson would be headlining the event immediately raised a lot of legitimate eyebrows:
Tucker Carlson heading to Iowa, home of the presidential caucuses, this summer. This particular group’s gathering has long been an event attended by Republicans with presidential ambitions. https://t.co/Ak6H9NTeri

I’ve told anyone whod listen he’s a dark horse for the GOP nomination.

At least one journalist, though, thinks people shouldn’t get too worked up just yet:
Before everyone gets too excited, just take a breath: no way someone gives up a lucrative TV bid to run for president, especially considering that they would have their finances and personal life examined in way they haven’t been before.

At the end of the day, only time will tell. But I’m about to start packing my bags, just in case.
