Ted Cruz Joined Segment On “Toxic Feminity,” Wondered How SNL Actor Pete Davidson “Gets All Of These, Like, Hot Women”

Oh, there is SO much to unpack here.

Apparently Texas Senator and Cancunan wannabe Ted Cruz is super jealous of former Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson because he just evidently just doesn’t understand how the comedian with big “line cook” vibes manages to bag “all of these, like, hot women” — Imagine that.

In a new episode of the Republican lawmaker’s little podcast, Verdict With Ted Cruz, that aired this week, Cruz’s co-host, Michael Knowles, read out questions that were sent in by viewers — one of which was directed at the GOP lawmaker and asked for his thoughts on “toxic femininity.”

“The Women’s March was this weekend. We are seeing women like Amber Heard, Jada Pinkett Smith, Meghan Markle, Kim Kardashian — is it time we start talking about toxic femininity?” the question read.

To be frank, there is so much I could unpack here on the mere bullshit notion of “toxic femininity,” but I’ll try to stay on topic.

In his response, the Texas lawmaker said Kim Kardashian “seems fine” enough and his co-host was quick to interject and announce that he’s “Team Kanye” when it comes to the celebrity couple’s highly-publicized and tumultuous divorce. But Cruz seemed more interested in weighing in on Kim K’s current love interest, Pete Davidson.

“Pete Davidson, all right, how come that dude gets all of these, like, hot women?” Cruz asked.

Knowles laughed, responding, “Because of toxic femininity, Senator. That is the evidence that something has gone wrong.”

“Pete Davidson was dating Kate Beckinsale,” Cruz continued to whine. “I mean, you’re talking ‘Underworld.’ You’re talking, like, super hot vampire in a black leather trench coat. And you’re like, really? The ‘SNL’ dude? Like, wow.”

Cruz was referencing Beckinsale’s 2003 role as a vampire in the movie “Underworld.” Beckinsale briefly dated Davidson back in 2019.

Look, I’m certainly no expert on the Kardashians or Pete Davidson or any mash up of the two. But women are allowed to have preferences, Ted. And you look like a potato — so, I don’t know, maybe look into that.
