There’s a whole lot we could unpack when it comes to Donald J. Trump — ranging from his deluded narcissism to his bigotry and racism to his blatant sexism to his dangerous disregard and white-hot hate for anyone that’s not himself. I could blow my word count 10 times over and still never scrape the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Donald Trump’s overall mental state.
But one thing that often gets swept under the rug — rightfully so, usually, as Trump is generally putting lives in danger somehow — is the scandal-ridden former president’s mind-boggling level of immaturity.
Seriously, if there’s anyone on the face of the earth who quite literally epitomizes “I know you are, but what am I?!” it’s Donald Trump.
The washed-up, has-been former guy pretty much made my point for me here recently, when he took to his struggling Truth Social platform and publicly posted a link to a think piece that essentially said, in a nutshell, “Nanny nanny boo boo — Melania decorated the White House for Christmas better than Jill did!”

Trump posted the opinion piece from Western Journal to his Truth Social profile this week with absolutely no other context or commentary on the matter. Literally not even a half-ass caption to be found.
The Melania vs. Jill: Christmas Edition opinion piece was penned by the Western Journal’s Mike Landry and published to the Conservative outlet on Christmas Day.
The think piece features the title, Flashback to When Things Were Better: Melania Trump’s WH Christmas Decorations Throughout the Years, and is quite literally just a series of comparisons between the White House Christmas decor of former FLOTUS Melania Trump and current FLOTUS Jill Biden.
“This is not to be political, or overly critical of the decorating work of Joe Biden’s wife. And I make no claims of expertise in decoration or interior design,” Landry wrote in the opinion piece. “It’s just that I know beauty when I see it, and Melania Trump added glamor and impeccable taste in presenting the people’s White House for the holiday seasons while she was there.”
Of course, no one will soon forget Melania Trump’s blood-red White House Christmas that earned her a lot of public smoke, with many going so far as to rightfully compare the disturbing decor to The Handmaid’s Tale.
Donald has regularly boasted of Mel’s home decor skills and trashed anyone who dared to disagree on the topic, while Melania herself has been busted expressing some scandalous exasperation with the holiday season as a whole.
In a secret recording that was publicly released by former friend and senior advisor Stephanie Winston Wolkoff in 2020, the then-First Lady was infamously heard complaining, “I’m working … my a** off on the Christmas stuff, that you know, who gives a f*** about the Christmas stuff and decorations? But I need to do it, right?”
The Bidens’ 2022 Christmas theme, titled “We The People,” featured a stunning 77 trees, 83,615 holiday lights, and countless heartfelt tributes to fallen soldiers.
