According to a thundering report from USA Today, one three-star U.S. Army general who was under contract as a consultant to the military following his retirement has now had his lucrative deal with the Army suspended and is instead currently under investigation after he made disgusting public remarks toward First Lady Dr. Jill Biden in a mocking tweet.

USA Today reports that Retired Lt. Gen. Gary Volesky, who once served as the U.S. Army’s chief spokesperson, took a disgusting shot at First Lady Jill Biden on Twitter recently after she made public remarks regarding the Supreme Court’s highly controversial decision to overturn Roe V. Wade — the landmark 1973 decision that protected a woman’s right to privacy and abortion healthcare.

For nearly 50 years, women have had the right to make our own decisions about our bodies. Today, that right was stolen from us,” the First Lady wrote on Twitter on the day of the controversial SCOTUS decision on Roe. “And while we may be devastated by this injustice, we will not be silent. We will not sit back as the progress we have already won slips away.”

“Tomorrow, we will continue to fight — for our daughters and granddaughters, and for ourselves — until all women can decide our own futures once again,” Biden wrote in a follow-up tweet.

According to reporting, Volesky made a disgustingly snarky remark in the First Lady’s comments on her post, writing, “Glad to see you finally know what a woman is.” The Army general’s nasty remark was seemingly a clear reference to a question that was posed to newly-seated Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson during her Senate confirmation hearings by Conservative lawmakers who were openly opposed to Brown Jackson’s confirmation to the SCOTUS.

USA Today reports that back in 2020 Volesky had signed on to a contract with the U.S. Army that would require him to advise active-duty officers at a lucrative $92 per hour paycheck. That contract has now been suspended indefinitely, assumably pending their investigation into his nasty remarks towards the First Lady of the United States.

A report from Axios reveals that this isn’t even the first time that the retired three-star Army general has found himself under scrutiny after taking shots at a woman on Twitter, behind the safety of his keyboard.

“Volesky responded to a tweet from Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) when she announced that she would be on the Jan. 6 select committee and that their ‘oath to the Constitution must be above partisan politics,'” Axios reports, with Volesky replying on social media, “This is all about partisan politics.”
