Trump Apparently Had An Opportunity To Attend COVID-19 Forum At Davos In January But Refused To Go, Said It Was “All Under Control”

Seriously?!

As we’re all painfully aware at this point, Donald Trump has more than dropped the ball when it comes to his response to the deadly new coronavirus that’s sweeping the globe and quickly taking over in the United States.

He’s tried his hardest to downplay the severity of the virus in an attempt to hang on to the last shred of hope for reelection — resulting in a lack of testing, inaccurate numbers of infected individuals, Americans trapped on cruise ships to avoid worsening numbers under the Trump administration, and widespread panic across the country as Americans start to realize that things are truly going to hell.

All of this has resulted in an unprecedented stock market plummet and even further-reaching distrust in this nation’s “leadership.”

Again, to say that Trump has dropped the ball would be an understatement.

But as it turns out, Trump actually had an opportunity earlier this year to get ahead of this thing and turned it down, essentially because of nothing more than his over-inflated ego.

Evidently, several members of the Trump administration were invited to attend a forum on the then-threatening coronavirus pandemic during the recent Davos event and every single one of them took a hard pass, with Trump ultimately declaring that he just simply wasn’t worried about the whole ordeal.

Apparently, Donald Trump, Steve Mnuchin, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump (all of whom were in attendance at the event) were invited to attend the virus forum but ultimately didn’t go.

While we certainly don’t have a rewind button at our disposal (and if we did, we’d be heading back three years instead of three months, for sure), it’s impossible not to wonder if this nation would be in a lot better shape if Trump had let go of his ego and actually dared to listen to an expert before things got this bad.
