Trump Appears Furious That The “Corrupt” Media Covered Hurricane Ida “All Night Long” During New Interview

Oh, dear Lord.

Former President Donald Trump phoned into conservative columnist and radio show host Todd Starnes’s show, and he is apparently upset with the “corrupt media” for covering Hurricane Ida that is pummeling Louisiana, knocking out power for the entire city of New Orleans in one of the most powerful storms ever to hit the U.S. Instead, the twice-impeached one-term president thinks the media should cover what’s going on in Afghanistan, even though the media is covering that, too.

Trump has been using the crisis in Afghanistan to attack his successor unprecedentedly in daily statements and interviews. President Joe Biden presides over one of the biggest airlift rescue operations in history, so Trump attacks him. This sort of attack has never been done before by a former president on his successor until Trump came along.

“Because Afghanistan is not even something that can be discussed in a rational way,” Trump insisted. “The level of stupidity — and we had a great agreement. And Biden admitted the other day, he made a mistake because they didn’t want him to say that no people have been killed since this agreement was signed.”

Trump then boasted that he told the head of the Taliban that if an American was killed that the U.S. would bomb his home first, then he suggested that Biden was weak. “He got out like a man that was like fleeing for his life,” Trump said.

Trump likes to play the strongman, but the opposite is true. In fact, U.S. forces launched a drone strike in Kabul on Sunday that killed a suicide car bomber suspected of preparing to attack the airport.

“And the media, which is fake and crooked and corrupt, they’re the worst people, they’re the most corrupt people,” the former president added. “The only thing I don’t understand is why. They’ve got to hate our country. And they are in fact the enemy of the people. But the corrupt media shows the hurricane all night long.”

Watch:

Todd Starnes almost appeared to be perplexed after Trump launched his extremely long rant uninterrupted, seemingly without taking a breath.
