On Monday night, Donald Trump appeared to stay up late making dozens of Truth Social posts. Then, on Tuesday, he visibly fell asleep multiple times in a cabinet meeting, even as cabinet secretaries spoke to him directly.

Continuing his strange day, Trump appeared to insult his own vice president.

It happened during a White House press conference on Tuesday afternoon, during which Trump was asked whether Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz should resign, “over the fraud scandal in his state.” In the video posted, it’s not clear who the reporter is, as her face is blocked by a microphone.”

Trump’s answer was somewhat curious.

“I think the man is a grossly incompetent man,” Trump said. “I thought that from the day I watched JD destroy him in the debate. I was saying, ‘Who’s more incompetent, that man or my man?’ I had a man and he had a man. They were both incompetent.'”

Trump appears to be talking about the 2024 vice presidential debate, which pitted Walz against Trump’s own running mate, JD Vance.

Then, he said, “I had a man and a woman, I thought she was very incompetent too. But now she’s leading the field.”

Trump’s train of thought can be difficult to follow, but appears “a man and a woman” refers to Walz and Kamala Harris, and he’s referencing very early 2028 polls that show Harris leading the Democratic field.

A lot of social media users found themselves baffled by what Trump had said- even more than usual.
