Strange thing to ask

President Donald Trump caused an awkward moment Tuesday when he asked Florida Governor Ron DeSantis what it might be like to date Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene—while her boyfriend was standing right there.

The strange exchange happened during Trump’s visit to his administration’s new immigration detention center in the Everglades, nicknamed “Alligator Alcatraz.” While touring the site, Trump ran into Brian Glenn, a conservative media personality and Greene’s current boyfriend.

Trump introduced Glenn to DeSantis with a smile.

“Hi Brian,” Trump said. “Ron, this is the boyfriend, very lucky, of Marjorie Taylor Greene.”

DeSantis gave a polite, surprised response: “Oh really?”

Trump went on to explain where Glenn works, then tossed out an unexpected question to DeSantis: “Do you think it’s easy being with Marjorie?”

The question caught everyone off guard. DeSantis laughed nervously, but did not answer. Trump chuckled and moved the group along.

Later, Glenn shared a video of the exchange on where he’s active covering political events. In the caption, he joked: “I’m not going to answer that… kidding.” He followed it up with a sweet message for Greene, saying, “@mtgreenee is a joy to be with and I love her with all my heart.”

Greene reposted the video with a hearts emoji and a smiling face, showing she took the whole thing in stride.

Greene and Glenn have been together in public since 2023. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican congresswoman from Georgia, is known for her strong and controversial views. She has made headlines for her statements about Islam and various conspiracy theories. Since joining Congress in 2021, Greene has become one of the most outspoken and polarizing figures in American politics. Despite several warnings and even removal from some committees, she remains one of Trump’s most loyal allies in Washington.

Brian Glenn, her boyfriend, is a conservative political reporter who works for Real America’s Voice, a pro-Trump media outlet. He regularly covers Trump rallies and campaign events, often appearing on camera and in livestreams. Over time, Glenn has become a familiar face in Trump’s media circle.
