Trump Brags He’s In The Best Shape Compared To Other Presidents During Wild Tirade

The president bragged about his physical prowess in a speech this week.

Last week, in his address to military commanders, “Secretary of War” Pete Hegseth declared that he was sick of seeing soldiers, and even generals, who are overweight, and was planning to take steps to address that. Many people pointed out that such a directive should probably include the commander-in-chief of the military, President Donald Trump, who has appeared to be significantly overweight for most of his adult life. And that was before his well-documented, but often-mysterious, recent health problems.

Despite all of that, Trump has often made over-the-top claims about his own health and virility. And he continued with that on Sunday, in a speech at a Naval station, to mark the 250th anniversary of the Navy.

Per Mediaite, the president declared that he is the “best physical specimen” among recent presidents.

“A man that everybody loves — He was my doctor in the White House, and I got to know him very well. He was also the doctor for Barack Hussein Obama. Have you heard of him?” Trump said at the event, referring to Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX), who was formerly the White House physician.

“He was a doctor for a man named [George W.] Bush,” Trump said in the speech. “And at a press conference, they asked him, ‘Who’s in the best shape, who’s the healthiest, who’s the strongest, who’s the best physical specimen of the three?’ He said, ‘That’s easy. President Donald Trump!’ And I said, ‘I love this guy!’”

There were some pretty incredulous reactions to the idea that Trump is in better shape, is a better “physical specimen,” than either Bush or Obama.
