President Donald Trump finally spoke out on Monday about the horrifying firebomb attack in Boulder, Colorado, after staying silent for nearly a whole day. The attack, which shocked the country, left six people badly burned. All six were part of a peaceful pro-Israel gathering.

The attacker, 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, reportedly entered the U.S. on a tourist visa in August 2022 during President Joe Biden’s time in office. He stayed in the country illegally after his visa expired. Authorities say Soliman threw Molotov cocktails — homemade firebombs — at the crowd while shouting anti-Jewish hate speech. One woman was so badly burned, she dropped to the ground and rolled to put out the flames.

“This was a terrorist act,” Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social. “Yesterday’s horrific attack in Boulder, Colorado, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED in the United States of America. Acts of Terrorism will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law.”

Stephen Miller, one of Trump’s top advisers, took aim at Biden. On X (formerly Twitter), Miller wrote, “The Biden Admin granted the alien a visa, and then, when he illegally overstayed, they gave him a work permit. Immigration security is national security.”

According to reports, Soliman received a work permit even after overstaying his visa. The White House later admitted that the license had expired, but he was still in the country at the time of the attack.

While many quickly called the attack an act of terrorism, local authorities advised waiting for more information. Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold described it as “irresponsible” to use that label so early, noting that the investigation is still ongoing in collaboration with the FBI.

Still, the FBI and Colorado Governor Jared Polis both indicated that the attack seemed to be targeted. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi also described it as a horrific anti-Semitic act and expressed sympathy for the Jewish community.

The scene was chaotic. Witnesses say Soliman stood shirtless, pacing and yelling before launching his attack. In videos shared online, he can be heard yelling, “How many children you killed?” and “We have to end Zionists. They are killers.” These chilling words, caught on camera, have caused fear across the Jewish community in Colorado and beyond.

All six victims suffered burn injuries, with one in critical condition. Doctors say that the patient is still fighting for her life.
