On the day after the No Kings protests that drew millions of Americans into the streets to protest the Trump Administration on Sunday, the president sat for an interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, during which Trump took shots at two Democratic members of Congress who are women.

Per The Daily Beast, the president in the interview called Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) “a very low IQ person. She’s polling ok in the Democratic Party at the moment, I can’t even believe it.” He later said, of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), “AOC is… I watched her the other day, it’s like, you gotta be kidding… This is not going to make our country great.”

He also, despite various social media posts from himself and his supporters, depicting himself with a crown, that he does not consider himself a king.

“They’re referring to me as a king. I’m not a king,” the president told Bartiromo. He also discussed the ongoing government shutdown.

“We’re cutting Democrat programs that we didn’t want, because they made one mistake,” Trump said on Fox News. “They didn’t realize that that gives me the right to cut programs that Republicans never wanted, giveaways, welfare programs, et cetera.”

In recent weeks, both Democratic Congresswomen who Trump ripped in the interview have taken shots at him.

“Trump believes that if you don’t vote for him, he doesn’t have to be your leader. That if you didn’t vote for him, that you don’t deserve good things to happen to you,” AOC said in a recent CNN town hall. “I don’t care if someone voted for me or not… I want MAGA to have health care.”

Crockett did as well.

“He’s falling asleep, he forgets that he appointed Jerome Powell, he forgot he was president on January 6th. There is something happening mentally as well as physically,” the Texas Congresswoman said earlier this month.
