Trump Campaign Allegedly Burning Money On Florida Ads To Keep Him Happy Watching TV At Mar-a-Lago

Ego over strategy.

Political reporter Marc Caputo tweeted, “Trump is in little danger of losing Florida But his staff is in great danger of incurring his wrath if he —and his Palm Beach pals— don’t see his ads at Mar-a-Lago.” This $48,000 on ads isn’t really about getting votes; it’s about keeping Trump happy—kind of funny, right? With Trump’s approval rating in Florida at just 47%, it seems the campaign cares more about making sure he sees himself on TV than about improving his numbers.

Jim Condelles made a key point: “Actually though, there is a little danger of losing Florida and getting bigger every day.” In a hypothetical match-up with Kamala Harris and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as an independent, Trump’s lead has slightly decreased in Florida (5%, down 1%) and Georgia (0%, down 2%). His lead has stayed the same in Michigan (1%) and North Carolina (3%).

Some voters are clearly fed up. Take Jeff from Palm Beach County, who bluntly said, “I live in Palm Beach County and won’t be voting for him.” This is a troubling sign for his campaign—maybe Jeff’s not alone in his frustration!

Avide on Twitter summed it up well, saying, “Lol, gotta love wasting his campaign’s money to satisfy the little baby’s ego. People think Trump is so strong, but he’s just a big child. This ad buy is like giving the man baby his pacifier.” With Trump’s campaign spending $48,000 on ads merely to please him, it’s evident that their focus is more on keeping him satisfied than on executing an effective campaign strategy.

Even Michigan Man offered a reality check: “Trump is in big danger of losing this election. And he knows it. Now it appears he’s just trying to close the margins of defeat. The Big Lie pays well.” With recent statistics showing Trump falling behind in crucial battleground states, it’s clear that his campaign strategy may focus more on boosting his ego than on actually winning.

With so much money spent just to make Trump and his friends happy, it looks like the campaign is all about boosting his ego instead of focusing on strategy. If they continue like this, they might spend their way right out of the election.
