Trump Claims “It’s A Very Interesting” Idea To Run For House In 2022 To Become Speaker

You gotta be kidding me...

As I’m sure you’re well aware, disgraced ex-President Donald Trump has yet to make any official announcements as far as his future political plans go, including whether or not he will run for president again in 2024, though we all pretty much already know the answer to that. However, based on this recent interview, it seems it may be possible that Donnie has made an official announcement regarding the White House because he just might be eyeing other political avenues; namely, Speaker of the House.

The idea came up during an interview broadcast by far-right radio host Wayne Allyn Root just this afternoon. The concept of a House run for Donald Trump was first brought up by Steve Bannon a while back, with the idea that the former president would eventually take over the House. Root brought the possibility of it all up with Trump directly during the interview today.

“Why not, instead of waiting for 2024, and I’m hoping you’ll run in 2024 but why not run in 2022 for the United States Congress, a House seat in Florida. Win big. Lead us to a dramatic landslide victory. Take the House by 50 seats. And then you become the Speaker of the House, lead the impeachment of Biden and start criminal investigations against Biden. You’ll wipe him out for this last two years,” Root said, clearly beaming with excitement.

“That’s so—that’s so interesting,” Trump responded, making us think that it may be something he’d consider.

Apparently, this pushed all the right buttons for Root who, even more excitedly than before, said, “Do it! You’ll be a folk hero!”

“Yeah, you know it’s very interesting,” Trump responded before going on to say that others have previously suggested that he run for Senate as well. “But you know what, your idea might be better. It’s very interesting.”

Right Wing Watch was the first to report on the comments.

Back in mid-February, former Trump official Steve Bannon made a similar statement for Boston Republicans, saying. “He’ll come back to us. We’ll have a sweeping victory in 2022, and he’ll lead us in 2024.”

“We totally get rid of Nancy Pelosi, and the first act of President Trump as Speaker will be to impeach Joe Biden for his illegitimate activities of stealing the presidency,” Bannon stated at the time.

We’re not sure if Donald knows this, because God knows he doesn’t know how governmenting works, but that little scheme wouldn’t be as simple as they’re trying to play it off to be. Even if the former president were to run for a House seat in 2020, he would have to first win that race, then the GOP would have to take control of the House before he had even a snowball’s chance in Hell at becoming the House Speaker — a position that it’s currently assumed would be filled by present House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy should the Republican party secure the House once again in 2022.

Not to mention, I really just cannot forsee Donald Trump giving up another shot at the White House unless he just doesn’t have a choice.
