Last night, President Joe Biden delivered his second State of the Union address before Congress — and his washed-up, scandal-ridden predecessor is really, really upset about it.
Through our years of unfortunate experience with Donald J. Trump, we’ve come to learn and understand that there is little in this world that will send Trump into a full-blown, unhinged, mental tailspin quite like the notion that he is becoming, or worse yet, has become irrelevant.
Donald Trump feeds on attention; on the sense that he is widely admired, revered, and beloved, above anyone else walking the face of the earth. Nothing and I do mean nothing, breaks him down quicker than the mere notion of that sense of self-importance being threatened.
We all watched in collective horror as his 2020 presidential election loss nearly did him in. But now, even 2 years removed from that brutal loss, Trump continues to deeply struggle with witnessing President Biden doing all the things that he, in his heart of hearts, fully believes he should be doing.
And nothing is a more prime example of just that than the State of the Union address.

It seems Trump ultimately just could not live with the fact that Biden was now giving his second SOTU speech, while Donnie continues to rot away at his Florida golf club. So, he took it upon himself to deliver “the real State of the Union,” via a laughably pathetic 2-minute video he posted to his struggling Truth Social platform.
In the caption of his makeshift SOTU speech video, the former president wrote:
Look, he worked hard tonight, it’s not a natural thing for him, it never was, and never will be, but you’ve got to give him credit for trying. I disagree with him on most of his policies, but he put into words what he felt, and he ended up the evening far stronger than he began. Give him credit for that. Many things weren’t mentioned that should have been, but that’s for another time. I’ve done a little clip, perhaps you’d like to watch it. Good night everybody, and God Bless America!”
Honestly, it was almost mature, by his standards, anyway. Almost… Until you actually click play on the clip.
In the video itself, Trump wasted absolutely no time in launching a nasty, unhinged attack against his successor for everything from illegal immigration to inflation to Biden’s “weaponized Justice Department” — which he made sure to point out that he is personally a “victim” of.
He openly accused President Biden of “trying to indoctrinate and mutilate our children,” before referring to him as the “most corrupt president” in the history of this nation.
Trump went on to rage that “violent criminals are being released from jail,” going on to falsely claim that “under Biden, the murder rate has reached the highest in the history of our country.”
But, of course, Donald’s biggest gripe had to do with himself. The bulk of Donald’s “speech” focused on accusations against his successor of using his Justice Department as a political weapon against him:
Joe Biden’s weaponized Justice Department – and I’m a victim of it – is persecuting his political opponents. His administration is waging war on free speech. They’re trying to indoctrinate and mutilate our children. He’s leading us to the brink of World War III. And on top of all of that, he’s the most corrupt president in American history, and it’s not even close.”
The scandal-ridden former guy wrapped things up with a reminder that he’s running for president in 2024 (because it’s easy to forget these days, considering how dismally his campaign has gone thus far) to “make America great again.”
“I am running for president to end the destruction of our country and to complete the unfinished business of making America great again,” Trump declared to… Whoever was listening to that mess. “We will make our country better than ever before and we will always put America first. Thank you.”
