Donald Trump hasn’t often been accused of not being loud enough. But on Friday, in a visit to The Villages retirement community in Florida, the president got upset that his microphone wasn’t loud enough.

Per Mediaite, during the speech, the president was addressing Social Security when he began complaining about the microphone’s volume.

Amid a speech in which he declared that “twenty-five million illegal aliens pour into our country. This was an invasion. An invasion of our country,” Trump started talking about the microphone volume instead.

“Tell them to turn up the microphone, will you please! Turn up the mic!,” he said.

“You know, I hate it. You pay these guys a lot of money and then you get up and the mic isn’t on properly. And then they want their money, and I don’t believe in paying people that do a bad job. I only like to pay — I pay early. And I’m screaming my ass off because the mic is no good! Turn the mic up pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease!,” Trump said, per the Mediaite transcript. “Amazing.”

Trump, is of course, known for stiffing people when he’s not happy with their work. He was also, for what it’s worth, perfectly audible before he started shouting for more volume.

There were some amused reactions on social media to Trump’s microphone demand.
