Donald Trump loves to watch Fox News and also to express his opinions about those whom he feels aren’t being loyal enough to him.

This week, the president demanded the network remove Jessica Tarlov, its designated liberal host.

The attack came in response to a Fox News Truth Social post on Monday.

“For Fox executives only, take Jessica Tarlov off the air. She is, from her voice to her lies, and everything else about her, one of the worst “personalities” on television, a real loser! People cannot stand watching her. Thank you for your attention to this matter!,” Trump said in the post.

Per The Independent, Trump also complained about Shannon Bream, another host on the same show, about referring to the “Save America Act” as the “Save Act.”

According to The Daily Beast, it’s part of a pattern in his second term of Trump going after female journalists, including when he referred to one woman as “Piggy” on Air Force One.

Tarlov, on X, had referred to Trump this week as an “embarrassment.”

Trump has, in his second term, often threatened to use the FCC to pressure media companies, which led, in part, to the temporary removal of Jimmy Kimmel from his ABC late-night time slot last year. Just this week, Trump was demanding an investigation into CNN over their report about an Iranian ceasefire document.

“The statement in question was obtained by CNN from Iranian officials and reported on multiple Iranian state media outlets. We received the statement from specific official Iranian spokespeople who are known to us,” CNN said in a statement in response to Trump’s threats.

However, there’s little the FCC can do when it comes to CNN or Fox News, as neither is under the agency’s jurisdiction, unlike TV networks. Trump can put pressure on the cable networks’ corporate owners, but Trump-friendly David Ellison does not yet control Warner Brothers and CNN. In contrast, Trump’s ability to pressure the Murdochs, who own Fox News, has been limited over the years.
