Voters approved Proposition 50, a new law that alters the process for drawing congressional seats. Trump went online and lost it completely. His Truth Social posts are already going viral, and honestly, they are more entertaining than the vote itself.

To understand why he is so mad, let’s start with what Prop 50 actually does. The measure redraws California’s political map, giving Democrats a few extra seats in Congress. It was proposed by Governor Gavin Newsom, who stated that the move was a response to Texas’ own map changes earlier this year. That change gave Republicans five new seats. Newsom told supporters, “They poked the bear, and the bear is poking back.”

Once the results came in, Trump reacted in his usual way. He jumped straight to Truth Social and typed in all caps. He called the vote a “GIANT SCAM” and said it was “UNCONSTITUTIONAL.” He claimed the mail-in ballots were rigged and promised a “serious legal and criminal review.”

From there, the story took a turn. People were quick to remember that Trump praised Texas when it redrew its map to help Republicans. He called that move “smart.” But now that California is doing the same thing for Democrats, he is calling it “corruption.” The contradiction could not be more obvious.

That is when the internet stepped in. Social media was filled with jokes and screenshots. One user posted, “Breaking news: Trump is worried about the Constitution for the first time in his life.” Another said, “So it’s only fair when you win?” The comments came fast, and the sarcasm came faster.

Meanwhile, news channels started looping his rant. Pundits called it another “classic Trump meltdown.” Even some of his own party members stayed quiet, clearly not eager to defend him this time. It felt like watching someone throw a tantrum after losing a game they helped invent.

However, beneath the drama, there is a genuine point. Redrawing maps is not new. Both sides have done it for years. Republicans have done it in Texas and Florida. Democrats have done it in Illinois and New York. The game is the same; only the players change. That is why so many people found Trump’s outrage hard to take seriously.
