Donald Trump has sued several media outlets, especially during his second term in office. In a series of social media posts early Monday morning, he threatened to expand an existing suit, this time against The New York Times. He also, for good measure, accused the newspaper of treason.

On Truth Social, Trump complained about the Times’ coverage of the endgame of the war in Iran- specifically a Times piece with the headline “What Changed After Almost 4 Months of War? Analysts Say Not Much.

The Times report, which quoted analysts, found that “the United States and Iran have reached a somewhat vague memorandum of understanding to end the war, skeptics are expressing bafflement over what exactly has transformed. Neither the war nor the agreement ended what U.S. and Israeli officials regard as the main threats emanating from Iran. The country’s nuclear program, while heavily damaged, was not eliminated — its fate punted to future negotiation.”

Trump, it’s clear, was not happy with that reporting.

“REALLY? Their Military is DONE, their Navy is GONE, their Air Force is GONE, their Launching Pads, Missiles, Drones and Manufacturing of same, is almost GONE, their top two sets of Leaders are GONE, their Inflation is at 250%, their Economy is BROKEN, their Soldiers aren’t being paid, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN, THE OIL IS GUSHING, and the U.S. Stock Market and Jobs are at record HIGHS. That’s what’s CHANGED, you corrupt and unethical cowards, and MORE!!! President DJT,” the first post said.

He went on to accuse the newspaper of “treason” for negative reporting on the agreement, while also calling them “criminals.” Needless to say, there’s no definition of either of those words that could apply to a newspaper publishing this type of analysis about a war.

“The way the Corrupt and Failing New York Times is covering stories on a very battered and beat up Iran, through FAKE & MADE UP ‘FACTS’ is, in my opinion, ‘TREASONOUS.’ I will be adding all of their false and ridiculous reporting to my multi Billion Dollar lawsuit against them. They are Criminals! President DJT”
