Trump Goes On Bizarre, Unhinged Attack Against The IRS Over Mysterious “Deal” And Info “Leak”

No one seems to have any idea what he's talking about...

Scandal-ridden former President Donald Trump is currently losing it on his struggling Truth Social platform in a massive, unhinged rage against the Internal Revenue Service, claiming to have had a mysterious “deal” with the government entity that has somehow now been broken as a result of “leaking information.”

The biggest problem here? We frankly have absolutely no idea what he’s talking about, and we’re not so sure anyone really does.

The disgraced ex-president’s manic meltdown came in a pair of posts made on his equally scandal-ridden social media platform, in which he launched an all-out attack against the IRS for allegedly paying a visit to the home of Substack writer Matt Taibbi, at a time when Taibbi was actively appearing before and delivering voluntary testimony to US Congress. Matt’s testimony to Congress was with regard to the “weaponization” of the United States federal government.

Trump called the purported IRS visit to Taibbi’s home “just plain dangerous and stupid.”

The former president was apparently furious enough to once again hit his caps lock button before typing out his unhinged and frankly rather bizarre rant:

So interesting to see the IRS ‘MAKE A STRANGE HOUSE CALL’ (WSJ) ON MATT TAIBBI DURING HIS HOUSE TESTIMONY ON TWITTER AND ALL SORTS OF BAD GOVERNMENT ACTS. THAT IS NOT A COINCIDENCE, IT IS JUST PLAIN BRAZEN & STUPID! BUT EVEN MORE BRAZEN & STUPID IS THE WAY THEY HAVE HANDLED ME, LEAKING INFORMATION (WHICH IS ILLEGAL!) &, MAKING A DEAL & THEN BREAKING IT FOR STRICTLY POLITICAL REASONS. I HAD A ‘DONE DEAL’ BEFORE RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT-THEY BROKE IT! TREATED WORSE THAN TEA PARTY & EVANGELICALS…”

Trump immediately followed up with another Truth Social post that he labeled “Page 2,” writing:

I could have easily made a very good deal with the IRS during my 4 years as President, but thought it inappropriate to do so. Besides, I already had a deal from before my Presidency-A deal which they choose not to honor. So now I am demanding the original deal, without late changes in the rules & regulations so that deal would be harder to make. Most people would say that after watching the Biden family take advantage of government, I should have made deal during my term. To me, CONFLICT”

Frankly, we couldn’t even begin to tell you what sort of “deal” Trump is claiming to have once enjoyed with the Internal Revenue Service, nor are we entirely clear on what, if any, information leak he’s referring to here.

Back in December, a years-long fight to obtain Donald Trump’s tax records finally reached a fever pitch when the House Ways and Means Committee released a report in which they confirmed their findings that the IRS had repeatedly failed to conduct mandatory audits against the former New York real estate “mogul” turned US president in any sort of timely fashion during his 4-year term in the White House. That report did not, however, indicate that any evidence of a “deal” between Donald Trump and the IRS was in existence, or that the now-former president had somehow persuaded the IRS from properly reviewing his taxes.
