This won't go over well.

As if Donald Trump wasn’t already livid enough with the mere notion of Florida’s Ron DeSantis simply existing out there in the world, the alt-Right Republican governor was sure to send the scandal-ridden former president’s head spinning off his shoulders, after news recently broke that DeSantis, who has a cool $70 million reportedly sitting in the bank these days, was hosting a massive, multi-day retreat for donors with deep pockets right on Donald’s front porch.

Or close enough, anyway.

According to recent reporting from the Palm Beach Post, scandal-ridden ex-President Trump was slated to hold a small-scale Presidents Day event at Club 45 followed by another upcoming event at his Mar-a-Lago resort turned post-White House personal residence on that Thursday. Observers have noticed that Trump seems to be forgoing his formerly massive campaign rallies as folks note “Seems as if Trump has lost his mojo.”

But, as noted by the Wall Street Journalit looks like Ron DeSantis took no issue with snatching the donors, the money, and the attention right out from underneath Trump’s nose — quite literally.

Mr. Trump is scheduled to appear Thursday at a fundraiser for the super political-action committee supporting his White House bid, MAGA Inc. The location: the former president’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Fla. The following day, Mr. DeSantis, Florida’s governor, will kick off a three-day retreat with donors and other supporters. The location: Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, an eight-minute drive from Mar-a-Lago.”

The Journal goes on to note that the Florida governor’s “three-day retreat isn’t a traditional fundraiser, but among the 150 invited guests will be some of the top Republican donors,” going on to note that DeSantis would be wooing big-money donors with a “private event beginning Friday with a cocktail reception, followed by a dinner and panel discussion, with post-dinner drinks and cigars. Over the next two days, the governor and his team are expected to outline his achievements in office and his nearly 20-percentage point victory in November, in which he won more than half of Florida’s Latino vote and carried 62 of 67 counties.”

The publication also points out that DeSantis’ closest allies “concede the location of his event is likely to irk Mr. Trump.”

Long story short, Ron is pissing Trump off on purpose at this point.
